about
Written summer of 2015. It's very experimental, and features lyrics written in four "voices," each from a different perspective. The song isn't really grounded in reality, and is based entirely upon figments of my imagination which are grounded in reality. It no longer has any meaning to me, and I realized I never uploaded it, so here it is.
lyrics
(The Invisible Onlooker):
As a dream finds its way
Through a strange and foreign land
The Overlord looks down upon it
And frowns
Down a gorgeous but bumpy road
Where it draws lines in the sand
To create an abstract later
And spite this hater
(The Helpless Victim of Binding Subjectivity):
So many chances to bloom
To flourish and prosper
So many chances I blew
And now I place the blame on you
(The Protector Who Harms):
Everything is going right for me
Wandering through the world's attentions
I can't help but want the life I see
So I'm forced to use my inventions
"When life gives you challenges
It's best to face your fears and overcome
And when it seems unfair
It's best to settle things with the cause of your despair"
(The Receiver of Mixed Emotions):
I'm perceived as perfect through one lens
So I plant a seed and I reflect
For greater of events
I can't be the one they think that they all know
I wouldn't fit that mold
No, I must be so bold
(The Protector Who Harms):
Something's going on
Something I don't want to happen
Some things are just
Too good to be true
Could be a promise
But it seems like this could be too good
You're just so nice
That I must hate you
(The Helpless Victim of Binding Subjectivity):
Today I witnessed a change
Take off your cloak of ignorance
I feel like something has died
Something I once kept inside
I probably should be glad
But something tells me this is bad
Your sick delusions begin
And leave me wandering again . . .
